This document outlines the recommended workflow for quantitatively comparing full-field measurements from VIC-3D 11 with the simulated results from a finite element (FE) model. Carefully following these procedures in VIC-3D helps ensure the resulting differences between the DIC and FEA data reflect real measurement-vs model discrepancies that can be used for validation or model updating (e.g., FEMU).
