Gray Value Mapping Script

The attached script can be used to map gray values from the source TIF images as a new variable, G, in a .OUT file from Vic-3D. For a set of OUT files such as tensile-nnn_0.tif, the syntax is

> python gray_mapper.py tensile

All matching files will be processed as long as the OUT files and TIF images are present in the folder.
